Defend SSV's Mission - Their Fight is Over, Help SSV Fight for their Future

As we head into Military Appreciation Month, Still Serving Veterans is calling on supporters to consider becoming a monthly donor, or what we call a "Mission Defender." For our clients, their service may have ended, but our commitment to them never will.

By becoming a monthly donor, you help SSV reach more Veterans across the country. More than 200,000 service members leave the military each year. We strive to meet as many of these men & women as possible, to ensure they have the financial stability needed to raise healthy and happy families out of the service.

Monthly Donor Spotlight

COL Arthur Meier US Army (Ret.) has been an SSV monthly donor for the past seven years! When asked why he supports SSV, Arthur said,

“Will Webb, one of the organization’s founders, is a friend of mine, and I wanted to support the great work done by this organization.”

A big THANK-YOU to all of our Mission Defenders whose monthly contributions allow us to reach more Veterans, ensuring they have a hand to reach out to and a shoulder to lean on.

SSV Expands to Norfolk

As many people know, SSV is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama with another office near Ft. Moore in Southern Alabama. Despite this, our team serves Veterans and transitioning service members all over the US. As our method and success has grown, SSV is excited to announce the hiring of Cheyenne Derrick, US Navy CPO (R) as our newest Veteran Career and Transition Counselor.

"My hopes and expectations for SSV in Norfolk are centered around providing comprehensive resources, guidance, and opportunities to empower veterans as they navigate their post-military careers. I aim to leverage my experience in HR, training, and career counseling to offer tailored support, mentorship, and training programs that address the unique needs of Veterans in the region. Together, I believe we can foster a thriving community where Veterans can achieve their professional aspirations and thrive in civilian life," said Derrick.

Why Hire Veterans Spotlight

BAE Systems Huntsville

It's important to really look at the traits, soft and hard skills that Veterans bring to the civilian workforce. SSV is committed to having these conversations to better break down some stigmas surrounding Veterans and transitioning service members.

Hear from our friends at BAE Systems Huntsville on why they hire Vets!

Wreaking Havoc for Veterans!

Someone said of Havoc Military Appreciation night - "I came for a fight and got a hockey game." While there was no shortage of goals, with the Havoc scoring 10 of them, there was an even bigger win at the end of the night. A record breaking $64,510 was raised for Still Serving Veterans as a result of the player jersey auction.

Col. Stanton Trotter addressed the team before the game and between periods led a swearing in ceremony for newly enlisted & reenlisting service members.
